Trainer Counsellor Coach

Are you ready for take-off?

How does it work?
In the TeleClasses you will get an intense training course in a small group of five students. You will be able to see and communicate with all participants and of course the trainer through modern teleconferencing system. In addition to seeing all the participants and trainer at all times you will be shown on the screen, if the need arises, material to practise with such as coaching models, Power Point presentations (level 2), etc. Just as in the regular groups you will be able to practise with each other and get feedback from each other and the trainer.

Academy for Counselling and Coaching located in the Netherlands is one of the first worldwide to offer training courses in Counselling and Life Coaching through TeleClasses. We've already built up quite some experience.

Even if you don't want to get a diploma or are not sure yet, the course will still be of interest to you as due to the students coaching each other you are more than likely to benefit in terms of advancing in your personal development. Remember, the best investment is in yourself!

Some advantages of taking TeleClasses lined up:
  • No time needed to travel to the venue. You only have to log in and click on a link. Might save you up to 30 hours or more. Time you can now spend studying already and/or practising with the other group members.
  • No travel expenses! Money that can go towards the course fee.
  • TeleClasses are only 90 minutes at a time. Just a small time investment.
  • You don't need to miss a single lesson as you can access the internet on a computer worldwide. Even during your holiday, visiting relatives or work abroad you only need to be away from it for 1,5 hours.
  • You can start when it suits you before the start of the course by starting to read the literature
  • Because you are trained being at home you don't really have to get a babysitter. You are close to who you need to be looking after such as babies, child(ren), (sick) partner or a parent.
  • In case of pregnancy, certain illnesses or being tied to the house (temporarily) you can still take part in the training.
  • You will get used to working with modern technical equipment.
  • Highly intense and effective way of learning in a small highly motivated group. .
  • You can to practise as much as you want with your fellow participants during the week. Because you don't need to travel, time investment and arrangements to be made are likely to be limited.
In addition of being trained to be a professional Counsellor or Life Coach by TeleClass and the advantages above, you will also get used to working through Teleconferencing. This will enable you to counsel, coach your clients or supervise by telephone, through skype and all sorts of teleconferencing equipment and/or by mail. This means you are no longer depending on local clients you have to see face to face and can look for clients worldwide. More and more people are getting use to shopping and working on the internet. Being counselled by computer is just a step away from it. It saves time, we all seem to be short of nowadays. You can help as many as five to ten clients a day at home without leaving your home. Building up an expertise and specializing in a certain field and offer these services on the internet could become well worth it for you. The world is your oyster!

Content and quality of the regular trainings and TeleClasses are virtually equal,
with the advantage of TeleClasses being less time consuming.

Do we admit just about everyone?
No. Just as with the regular training courses of the Academy we have an extensive application form, so we can work out if someone is suitable. In the case of TeleClasses we have a few additional pre-requisites; some technical criteria such as the speed of your internet connection, a good webcam and being able to install and use skype (easy). The latter is simple and for free but needs to be done. Note we don't give TeleClasses through skype, but you will receive the link you need to click on to access the TeleClass. Most internet connections meet the speed criteria.

Exciting International classes with people from all over the world.

The course fee is usually slightly higher, when we don't have an anniversary to celebrate, than the normal trainings courses. The reason for this is Teleclasses are more intense as there are only five students to a class. Another reason is students need to take an one hour oral exam each by TeleClass. In regular training courses there can be as much as 15 to 18 students to a class. In these classes you still get personal attention, but not as much as in a Teleclass.

You save a lot on travel time and travel expenses. You are much more flexible in choosing a starting date and time as classes start up quicker with a maximum of five students. Simultaneously you can look after your children who might be asleep or doing there homework in another room. In this respect Teleclasses are cheaper, more modern and much more environmental.

Anita Veenstra
I grew up in the Netherlands. As a child already I had great interest in other cultures and an aptitude for languages, along with being very enterprising and outgoing. It was therefore only a matter of time before I started to explore the world, literally. From my early twenties I have backpacked around the globe leaving no continent untouched and wearing out two pairs of mountain boots along the way. Apart from two extensive world trips totalling near three years, I also spent long periods abroad studying at several universities. I know what it is like to be an ex pat and having to adjust, both ways! I have lived for years in Australia, Japan and England.

Having travelled a lot and having to adapt to all kinds of circumstances at a fast pace has enable me to think on my feet very quickly. Meeting all sorts of people from all walks of life resulted in becoming highly flexible in my thinking when dealing with people including clients. It is easy for me to put myself in the other person's shoes. Living and working in several countries gave me the chance to get to know these cultures from the inside out and has contributed enormously to my knowledge of people. I can put all this to good use when teaching and coaching people.

I have always been intrigued in what motivates people, in other words what makes them tick. I am a strong believer in that everybody is the master of his or her own destiny. This doesn't necessarily mean that you always had a say in what happened to you in life, but it does mean that you have a choice in how to deal with the consequences and/or come to terms with it, in other words move on. This realisation and many others are part of the journey of my own personal development. Like my travels the road to personal development has not always been an easy one, but every step of the way was, even though at times hard, worth it. And the road continues…

As far as education is concerned I have done a Joint Honours degree (Bachelors) at the University of Leeds in England in Management Studies and Japanese. Having graduated from Leeds University I did a Masters at Maastricht University in the Netherlands in 'Technology, Science and Society in Europe', an international programme with students from the four corners of the world. My thesis was on the transfer of knowledge, which regularly comes in handy.

In 2006, after decades of corporate employment, I decided to settle down in Gouda. Being a former student of the Academy of Counselling and (Life) Coaching myself, I opened up my own life coach practice COACHplus. I find this kind of work very rewarding and it is me down to a tee. Not a day is the same as clients vary as much as the questions they come with.

I work among other things a lot with energies and objects, but also like to use drawing as a coaching tool with a client. One of my specialisations is Constellations, which goes much further than the well known Family Constellations. In different settings over the years I have given workshops such as 'Systemic work', 'Analytic Drawing' and 'Making Choices and Reaching Goals'. In these workshops and during sessions I like to share my knowledge with Life coaches and counsellors (to be) and the likes. This goes a lot further than just explaining some of the theory.

My credo is:
You are the master of your own destiny!
